Covid-19 Policies

Charlotte Pass Resort is committed to ensuring that the health and safety of our guests, staff and the community is a top priority.  Having consulted closely with Industry and Government representatives, Charlotte Pass implemented a COVID Safe Operating Plan to operate within applicable Government regulations and guidelines.

Our Safe Operating Plan includes a series of wellbeing measures for the 2021 snow season.  These measures may continue to change, as and when Government guidelines and regulations evolve.

We ask all guests to follow these measures, as we all have an individual responsibility to do our part.

Keep Up to Date with the latest information from NSW Health

We ask that all guests review the latest COVID-19 information from NSW Health before visiting Charlotte Pass Snow Resort.  This includes exposure sites, Public Health Order updates and any requirements for testing or self-isolation.

Greater Sydney – Currently a Stay At Home direction applies to people who live, work or have visited the Greater Sydney area (including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Shellharbour and Wollongong).

Those who live or work in those areas are under a Stay At Home direction until at least 11.59pm Friday 30th July.  If you have visited any of those areas since Monday 21st June, you must follow the Stay At Home Direction for a period of 14 days from the day you left.

Central West – A Stay At Home direction applies to people who live, work or have visited the Blayney, Cabonne and Orange Local Government areas.  Those who live or work in those areas, as well as those who visited any of those areas since Saturday 17th July are under a Stay At Home direction until at least 11.59pm Tuesday 27th July.

If you are impacted by the current Public Health Order, please email resort@charlottepass.com.au with proof of your residential or work address, as well as details of your products booked and Arrival Date and the Guest Services team will assist to find a solution.  Requests will be considered in accordance with the Terms & Conditions in place at the time of booking.  

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we process a large volume of emails.  If you have already emailed us, please know our Guest Services team are working hard to get back to you as soon as possible.

Any requests must be emailed at least 24 hours prior to the date the product is valid for in order to be considered. Emails will be prioritised based on Arrival Date. 

 

As required under the current Public Health Order, face masks are now mandatory in all indoor settings.  We ask guests to please bring a face mask with you when visiting Charlotte Pass Snow Resort.  Face Masks are also recommended in outdoor environments where you are unable to maintain physical distancing.

In addition, all people are required to Check In using a QR code when entering any Charlotte Pass Snow Resort building.

Guests who are unwell should not visit Charlotte Pass Resort

For the safety of all, the following Guests should not visit Charlotte Pass Resort:

  • Guests who are unwell, or who are displaying flu like symptoms.  Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, sore/scratchy throat, shortness of breath, loss of taste and loss of smell. Other reported symptoms include fatigue, runny nose, muscle pain, joint pain, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting and loss of appetite.
  • Guests who live, work or have visited the Greater Sydney area (including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Shellharbour & Wollongong), or the Blayney, Cabonne and Orange Local Government Areas.  Guests currently under a Stay At Home direction are unable to visit Charlotte Pass Snow Resort.
  • Guests who are awaiting a COVID-19 test result.
  • Guests who are from any declared COVID-19 Hotspot or Exposure site (as designated by NSW Health).
  • Guests who have been directed by NSW Health, or any other Government Agency to Self-Isolate.
  • Guests who have been in close or casual contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19.

 

WINTER COVID-19 MEASURES

Oversnow Transport departing Perisher Valley

  • All Guests are required to use the QR code at our Perisher Valley Guest Services desk to complete the COVID-19 Guest Health Declaration.  This will include a declaration confirming that they are not experiencing flu like symptoms, awaiting COVID-19 test results, are not from a declared COVID-19 hotspot or have been in close or casual contact to anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19.  Guests who do not complete the Guest Health Declaration will not be permitted to board the Oversnow.
  • Guests who are unwell, or displaying flu like symptoms will not be permitted to board.
  • All guests will be temperature checked prior to boarding the Oversnow. Guests who have a temperature of more than 37.5C will not be permitted to board.
  • All guests will be provided with a face mask, which is required to be worn at all times whilst inside the Oversnow vehicle.
  • Enhanced cleaning of Oversnow vehicles will be undertaken, with a focus on high contact areas such as seats, handles and seatbelts.
  • By travelling, you acknowledge acceptance of our Oversnow Transport Terms and Conditions.

On Mountain

  • Guests are strongly encouraged to pre-purchase their Lift Tickets, Equipment Rental and Snowsports Lessons prior to arrival.
  • 2021 Season Passes and Escape Passes can be used throughout the 2021 snow season.
  • Physical Distancing will be implemented in lift lines, with 1.5m distance required between guests.
  • We strongly recommend the use of face coverings in outdoor environments where you cannot maintain adequate physical distancing.

Snowsports Lessons

  • Group lessons will be available, with class sizes to ensure appropriate physical distancing.
  • Private lessons will be available.
  • The Kosi Kids Snowsports Program will operate in 2021, with class sizes to ensure appropriate physical distancing.

Equipment Rental

  • Rental of skis, boards, boots, clothing and helmets will be available for winter 2021. Guests should pre-book clothing hire to ensure availability.

Accommodation

  • Stillwell Hotel, the Kosciuszko Chalet Hotel and Lucy Lodge are open for acommodation.
  • If staying at a Lodge, please contact your accommodation provider directly for further operating details that may be specific to their property.

Resort Facilities

  • All Charlotte Pass food and beverage facilities are open for winter 2021, with indoor capacity limits in line with Government guidelines.
  • In accordance with the current Public Health Order, guests must wear a fitted face mask at all times in Indoor Non-Residential Areas.  This includes all Charlotte Pass venues and hotels.
  • All internal public spaces have a strict guest limit of one guest per 4 square metres under the current Public Health Order. Signage is placed at the entry to each public space to advise the maximum guest capacity.
  • In accordance with the current Public Health Order, Guests must use the QR Code posted at the entrance to Check In when entering any Charlotte Pass Snow Resort building.
  • Guests are encouraged to make reservations for all meals at Stillwell Hotel, Lucy Lodge and the Kosciuszko Chalet Hotel.
  • Guests are strongly encouraged to pre-purchase their Lift Tickets, Equipment Rental and Snowsports Lessons prior to arrival.
  • All in-resort payment methods will be contactless EFTPOS, no cash will be accepted.  ‘Tap & Go when you’re at the Snow’.
  • Frosty’s Kids Club in the Kosciuszko Chalet Hotel is open, with strict capacity limits to ensure physical distancing.  Due to these capacity limits, we cannot guarantee availability of the Frosty’s Kids Club service to every guest.  Please note, Frosty’s Kids Club is temporarily closed from 27th June – 30th July 2021.
  • Physical distancing markers are in place on floors and information posters are placed at entrances and throughout all public facilities.
  • Hand sanitiser stations are available throughout the resort for guest use.
  • Increased sanitisation and cleaning regimes are in place for all public facilities and points of high contact.

We appreciate your understanding that while some of these measures may be of minor inconvenience, they are in place in the interests of safety and wellbeing.

 

SUMMER 2021/22 COVID-19 MEASURES

Accommodation

  • Stillwell Hotel is will be open from late October 2021 for acommodation.
  • Please contact your accommodation provider directly for further operating details that may be specific to their property.

Resort Facilities

  • All Stillwell Hotel food and beverage facilities will be open, with capacity limits as per Government guidelines.
  • All guests who enter any food or beverage venue must provide contact details using the QR code for the purpose of contact tracing.
  • Each guest must sign in individually, they cannot sign in on behalf of a group.
  • All in-resort payment methods are contactless EFTPOS, no cash will be accepted.
  • Physical distancing markers will be in place and information posters will be placed at entrances and throughout all public facilities.
  • Hand sanitiser stations will be available throughout the resort for guest use.
  • Increased sanitisation and cleaning regime for all public facilities and points of high contact.

On Mountain

Physical Distancing will be implemented in lift lines on the Kosciuszko Triple Chair, with 1.5m distance required between guests while queuing.
